Star Wars the Old Republic recently released this video of PVP action on the planet Alderaan. The combat mechanics look very similar to WOW but without the ability to auto attack. We are interested to see how the combat plays out in this title, especially regarding the balance of the classes.
It looks like there are some pretty cool aspects of strategy involved with the PVP warzones. We aren’t sure if this is an open world type of PVP zone or more of a closed instance that you que for, but it looks like fun nonetheless.
We have a long time to wait for this one… can’t wait!
Officially a neutral world, Alderaan has become the focus of Republic and Imperial political maneuvering. Even as conflict between Alderaan’s noble houses threatens to turn into civil war, Republic and Imperial forces engage in a secret battle that could decide the planet’s fate. High in the mountains, both sides fight for control of Alderaan’s massive planetary defense cannon—a weapon powerful enough to devastate an enemy’s fleet and ensure domination over the planet’s skies.
Jared Psigoda, the self proclaimed king of the Chinese gold farmers, discusses how he got into the business of “gold farming” and where he thinks the future of online gaming is heading. Jared will also appear in a documentary centered around the gold farming industry named “Play Money”. Here is some more information about the film:
Real Money Trade (RMT), is a multi-billion dollar industry built upon make-believe merchandise in make-believe worlds. RMT is the business of selling virtual goods for real-world money. These companies are making millions of dollars. With over 40 million online gamers worldwide, virtual monies are growing at an exponential rate. As eager gamers and creative entrepreneurs reap the benefits of RMT, American corporations that develop these online games, such as Activision Blizzard, seek to shut down what they deem to be unfair practices. They want their games to remain pure and unscathed and expect every gamer to play by their rules.
This grey area between the real and the virtual, and between business and entertainment, is the economic battleground for real-world livelihoods and virtual status gains in the quest to “get” more.
Play Money is the untold story of the people participating in the realm where the physical and the virtual unite.

Here’s to hoping they wear the damn thing around, and don’t just stick it under glass in some mansion.
What are two great tastes that taste good together? The Simpsons and Zombies, that’s what.
It was only a matter of time before two titans of pop culture did the monster mash and combined to scare and delight. The second series of The Simpsons three inch vinyl toys will drop soon from Kid Robot.
Along for the ride this time, more citizens of Springfield like Moe, the beloved bartender, and Moleman…just because. Collect them all, because your never too old to buy toys. As always, you never know who you may get because this is a blind item, which makes it all the more fun.
You may be asking, “What the #!*@ is a blind box?” Allow us to explain: A blind box is a type of packaging that completely hides its contents. Blind boxes are identical in every way and nobody-including Kid Robot-knows which toy is inside.
Fable 3 is set to release today, and from what we can tell, the live co-op looks to be a lot better this time around.
In this recent video released by Lionhead Studios, many of the awesome features that were promised for Fable 2, but were ultimately not delivered, made it into Fable 3. Both players will have the ability to move the camera in co-op and freely roam each other’s worlds. It seems like the ability to “touch” in the game will have some interesting elements as well.
Headstache.com will be picking this game up today. Keep your eyes open for a review later this week!
